BiographyMy name is Jae Hee Kim. I'm an 11th grade Korean student in Colegio Franklin Delano Roosevelt of Lima, and I am currently enrolled in the IB DP (International Baccalaureate) program. In this program, I take Literature, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics, Spanish and Business Management.
I am currently committed to the club iGEM (International Genetically Engineered Machine), the National Honor Society, the National Arts Honor Society and I am a staff writer for the Condor's Nest Newsletter (the school newspaper). The purpose of this portfolio website is to show my learning growth through the years, provide an opportunity to reflect on where I want to improve in my learning, reflect on why I performed well on an assignment or why I didn't improve on an assessment, share my work with a larger audience, collect artifacts of my learning in one central location, and have a link to my learning that I can share with universities. |
My PassionsOutside of school, I enjoy drawing, creative writing and photography.
Visual arts is one of my many passions; I took arts classes at my school during my MYP years (check out my work here!), I am committed to the National Arts Honor Society (as mentioned earlier), and I have participated in many arts-related events, such as SAAC Fine Arts and the ICC mural competition. Moreover, I also know how to play the piano, flute and guitar, and I like playing tennis in the weekends. Although I had been an aspiring pharmaceutist until last year, these days I have realized that my passion may lay somewhere else. I am constantly engaged in the search of trying to find the right path for myself, and I hope to get to know myself better through the course of my high school years. |
