For my Spanish writing project for the book, Blanca Como La Nieve, Roja Como la Sangre, I chose to be Beatrice, one of the main characters in the book, and write a diary about how much she loved life, and how the disease (leukemia) had changed her life.
I made three entries for the diary, and my first entry talked about how much Beatrice loved life, and how she wanted to do so much things in life, such as learning how to talk different languages, going on a trip around the world, etc. My second and third entries consisted of Beatrice being diagnosed with leukemia, and talking about how dismayed and horrified she was. Our objective was to use as many subjunctive words and transition/connector words. Personally, this was not the best I could have done. I felt like I had tried to talk about too many things in such a short piece of writing, and that had resulted in my writing piece being less focused and all over the place. I also made many small mistakes, and I believe I should have been more concentrated. There were also some errors in my use of subjunctive, and in the end, I think that I should have focused more on the subjunctive part than in trying to put more effort into the story of the writing. However, I do belive I portrayed Beatrice's thoughts at the time accurately, and I am happy with my work.
